Another Minecraft isn't launching thread. iMac running Mavericks, but the problem predated the OS upgrade. The error message is:

Tried deleting Minecraft/reinstalling and updating to current version of Java to no avail. I've created another user account, installed on that account and it works fine but don't want to keep switching between accounts just to play. The game had been working fine until sometime in the last month, so doesn't appear to be a hardware issue.
