Minecraft World Not saving HELP!

This is extremely weird. I have a minecraft singleplayer world called YoFatMama. I have spent a ton of time on it. When i go into the .minecraft/saves file it isn't there Yet, it still lets me play the world even after I have restarted minecraft. An answer would help so much. I run Windows 8 (don't know if this helps). Minecraft version is 1.7.2
