Internal Exception: io.netty.codec.Decoder Exception: com.google.gson.Json Syntax Exception: com.google.gson.stream.MalformedJsonException: Expected EOF at line 1 column That's the error I get when I try to join a server. I tried force cleaning and redownloaded all files (1.7.2) but nothing worked... I have absolutely no mods installed...
Help?
That error usually hits that some of the files needed to launch the game has been tampered with.
Since you have not given the entire log, I cannot be sure where you're getting the error, but you should be able to simply reinstall the game.
You may need to reinstall the locally installed files that Minecraft puts into place.
To do so, press your Windows+R keys, type in %AppData% at the dialog, and press Enter. In the window that appears, open the .minecraft directory, and delete everything except for the saves directory that you see therein. Then, try running Minecraft again. Good luck!
I think the problem may be that the server you're trying to join has mods installed that you don't. The reason I think this is because the json file is the file that keeps all of the basic info on your minecraft version, and the line one column something means the "id" of your version. When you install mods onto your version, you often change the names and ids to that too, so I'm thinking that the people that now play on that server use mods.

Use JsonReader.setLenient(true) to accept malformed JSON at line 1 column 9
