So basically I can't get into minecraft because every time I click the icon it loads the launcher and it closes automatically. I re-installed java and deleted .minecraft but that did not seem to make it work. Please anyone help.

Maybe it has something to do with your graphic cards? I am not certain it is, though, but it doesn't hurt to try.
