My friend only sometimes can connect to my server. It's ported, and my other friend can connect to it, but, even with Hamachi up, he just can't. We've had this problem for a few months now and it's really annoying. We've tried both Bukkit and the vanilla minecraft server that you download from the website. He has more success with the Bukkit server, if that helps. He has relatively bad internet; he gets about 30-60 kb/s when downloading something, and has about a 1000ms on an average MC server. The three of us really enjoy playing on a private server and I'm basically the only one that can do it well. I would really appreciate any help you can give.
what error does your friend get on his client when he connect?
does your server.log show anything when he connects?
could you get a speedtest.net results link for his connection?
30-60 kb/s sounds like and bat configured WiFi connection. Or u friend use an high CPU used Firewall or Antiviruss program running.
First try to connect direct to u/his Interned modem/router with cable.
Btw. what Internet connection u have? MC-Server need some upload band-witch, special if u support more players on u server.
