Hi,

I play in single player at the moment. I wanted to see how cheats worked so I created a new Creative world (this is in 1.7.2) with cheats enabled. But in the game when I hit the forward slash or T button nothing happens.

I've checked that they are the correct buttons for those commands in my game, and they are. Though they're listed under multiplayer - could that be the problem?

Cheats are definitely enabled, when I go to chose my world, it has Creative Mode, Cheats under it.

I also changed my Survival world to cheats enabled. But again, they just don't work.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'm a real noob, just started playing a couple weeks ago.

No, I've tried that - it just doesn't work.

The only time I can see the command box is for a couple of seconds as I get in and out of a bed. But it's never long enough to type anything.

Pressing t and / does nothing.

Look if the key binding correct, i have the problem that after the update key-binds wars return to default.

I've fixed it!

I went into Options -> Multiplayer Settings -> Chat: Shown. It was off before (Chat: Off), which was why chat wasn't working. It didn't occur to me to look in there because I'm playing Singleplayer.
