If you enabled the lowest quality settings and it's still lagging, you need to get this mod called Optifine, but the mod is currently being updated to 1.7.2 (It's Not Updated To 1.7.2 Yet) so just be patient and when you get the mod in the future, you won't get that much lag! (Sorry If This Isn't Really Explainable Enough)
I don't think it's possible (Could Be) for a computer and/or laptop to be $5,000, but you'll probably need to get a new computer/laptop in the future like Walt_Disney_II said.
