Every time I try and download the launcher from minecraft.net it will download correctly but when I try and open it, it will seem to open it but 2 minutes later it won't open. I looked on my programs list in my Control Panel and Minecraft isn't there. I had stopped playing before 1.6 fully came out and now my old launchers (Magic Launcher) won't work, I deleted them all from my folders and to no avail has it solved the problem. I really want to play again but I have no clue how to fix it.
Is it possible that you're using an outdated version of Java? Also, could you go to the start menu and type in "%appdata%" (without the quotes) > Roaming > .minecraft > and tell me what's in there please?

I had checked to see if my Java was updated and it wasn't, I did update, redownloaded it, and tried to start the launcher but sadly it still doesn't work.
Minecraft is not installed as a program, just to be made clear, it will not show under the installed programs list.
Does the launcher open in your case? If so, when clicking Play, does it return to the launcher? If so, then please provide the development console log.

No it doesn't, it never gets to the loading point or the Title Screen if you will. I'll do one of the following; double clicking the program installed, running it through Task Program, or from the Taskbar. Hopefully I can explain it with this Minecraft(.exe) -> Running -> Minecraft Title Screen -> Playing Minecraft, mine works like this, Minecraft(.exe). The loading doesn't show up but pretends it does for about 5-10 seconds before nothing happens. I have no idea why it decides to mess up and why it refuses to even pop up the loading bar.
Now for some reason my Minecraft will start up and actually let me log in, but, now the screen when I click play just loads and that's it, it won't let me play. Is there something wrong?

64-bit, Updated now, Installed Ram - 3, for the Video Card I don't know which information that is or how to check it.
