Symptom:

Minecraft Launcher starts then reopens. Game does not appear. Development Console states:

Game ended with bad state (exit code -1073740777)

Tried:

Removing all old versions of Java. Rebooting, Installing Java from Oracles website, Restarting. Checked no old versions installed

Same error with 64bit and 32bit versions of Java

Updated all graphics drivers to latest versions

Running Minecraft.exe as Superuser ( run as administrator)

Minecraft log directory contains latest.log with a size of 0KB

If your getting that exit code number, you might have D3DGear installed, which causes this error.

Try uninstalling it through Programs and Features in the Control Panel section.
