hi ever since the 1.7.2 update when i load up my launcher it says this :

when i try logging into a server i get this (for example hypixel server):
io.netty.channel.ConnectTimeoutException: connection timed out:mc.hypixel.net/184.164.146.50:25565
Help me please, multiplayer is pretty much the only reason i play minecraft
I am having the same issue as reported here, and i know for a fact that my server has been updated, but yet still getting this error....any help would be much appreciated ...
Ok guys, I got the problem fixed, I was using the hotel internet since I just moved to Georgia, now I'm in a house and now we have comcast/xfinity internet which gives me 100 percent internet all over the house. I figure the hotel internet was just bad because now I can get on servers ( sorry for bad typing I'm typing from my ipad mini)

Go here, do the internet test, and from what I've seen, if it says your ping is greater than 125ms or your download speed is lower than 2mbps, minecraft servers don't work. Of course, this is just a speculation, but it might help. The only thing you can really do if it is your internet is just wait it out. I hope this helps though
I have had the same problem for a while. Today I thought it might just be my wifi. I have an iPhone 4s and I created a personal hotspot off of my home wifi and used it for my compute, It work perfectly! In your phone settings go to settings>personal hotspot>on Then connect with your computer! Hope this helped!

You should play on 1.6.4 for now.
