Hey all. I'm running Minecraft 1.7.2 on Windows 8. I've have been able to direct connect to a friends server (or whatever it's called). I haven't been able to connect to her in the past week. I was trying to play and at first got a failed to connect timed out message. Now that minecraft has updated I've been getting a
java.net.ConnectException: Connection Timed out: no further information
I've tried adjusting the firewall so java could get through as well as minecraft. I just updated java the other day (less than two weeks ago) and also tried the windows/system32/drivers/host fix to no avail. There's no minecraft listed files to delete in there. We're using Hamachi to port forward. Does anyone have any sort of guidance or that they could give me to fix this? Thanks for any help you could give me.
