The update to 1.7.2 went smoothly except for this one problem. While playing on a sever run from a separate computer on my own LAN, I'm digging a tunnel in the nether 2 blocks high by one block wide going north at y=5 altitude (just above bedrock). When I travel north along the tunnel there are no problems, but when I travel south, the client starts to run very slowly at z=-110. I have tried making a bend in the tunnel to go around the coordinate where the client lags, but it consistently occurs at z=-110 no matter where I am on the x axis. After this occurs, I need to use server commands from the server computer to teleport myself to anywhere else. I can then disconnect the client, reconnect, and play normally unless I attempt to travel south along that line again.
I checked the server command line to see if there were any errors occuring when my client reached the spot where it lags, but nothing seems to happen, and other players on the server encounter no disruption in performance when my client lags, so the issue must be client related.
My graphics drivers are up to date, and I'm not having performance issues with any other aspect of minecraft.
System info:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20 gHz
RAM: 4 Gigabytes
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
HDD Space: 300 GB HDD running at 7200 RPM
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Has anyone else had this problem? How should I fix it?
U can try to use MC-Edit to fix u problem. (maybe there a to many entities in this arrayer or an defect chunk)
If u wish, upload u map to an filehoster and i try to fix it for u.
