So I recently bought a new windows 8.1 32 bit netbook and when i tried installing the minecraft.exe it told me I needed java, so it directed me to the java website and I downloaded it. Then I tried resuming the minecraft.exe, however, it kept giving me this error which I will display soon.
I have tried redownloading minecraft.exe, java installer, and even system restored my netbook but none of these things work.
One thing to note, I bought two of these netbooks (one for my sister) and it worked perfectly on the other netbook, the launcher worked and I was able to play minecraft.
All in all, everytime i try launching the minecraft.exe it keeps giving me this error:

Haven't seen that one before, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that your windows user name has punctuation in it.
'
When I go to the folder titled, "users" after entering my OS, there is a folder with my name: "Michael!" how can i change it? i only added that exclamation point because i couldn't name my pc and the user the same name Michael.
Thanks so much you guys, because of your help I am now able to play Minecraft!!!!!!
Solution:
I just made a new local account, copy and pasted all my files to the new account, deleted it and then reconnected it to my windows live account.
Thanks!!!!
