They were right, this was the update that changed the world. So many people can't play because of the update. How ironic....Anyway I'm just another one of the thousands of players that can't even get past the main screen before it locks up. My scrreen goes blank, so I can't see what the error code (s) are.

I've updated Java to Verison 7 Update 45
I've updated my graphics driver
I've disabled firewall
I've checked for other problems with my computer since the minecraft update and nothing.
I've removed Minecraft and had it redownload and still doesn't work

Every thing else works fine on my computer except this new version of Minecraft. I can't even get to singleplayer mode before it crashes.

I'll keep reading through the forums for possible fixes but my main argument is this. It worked fine before the update and now it doesn't. Why do we have to jump through hoops fixing our computers when the damn thing worked just fine before hand??? I understand large and complex updates cause problems. How about smaller updates to avoid problems such as this.

Spite and sarcasm aside, I'd just like to say that I have the same problem. I made absolutely sure that my graphics drivers and Java were both updated, yet I still can't play Minecraft. I'm sure that in the very near future the problem will be sorted out, but for now, I'm still confused on why I can't open Minecraft.

There is a way. on your computer, search %appdata%, then go into roaming, .minecraft, into crash_reports, then post the contents of the most recent file inside.
