I am baffled as to why Minecraft will not run at 60FPS on Max settings on this computer. I used to be able to run Minecraft at over 300FPS with Max settings but now it fluctuates from 35-60. When I turn VSync off it's able to get up about 90 but there is screen tearing.
Specs:
Intel i5 Processor
Nvidia GeForce GT545
8 GB of RAM
Windows 7 64-bit
Really getting sick of how the devs (Dinnerbone is the worst) continue to add useless crap to the game (horses, villagers, etc.) without fixed core problems with the games code. Fix performance issues, then add features. It's like they're just lazy.
this could be your monitor. V-sync limits it to 60 fps because that's the max that a monitor can actually display. 60+ is just lag protection. there's nothing wrong with 60 fps. V-sync is a thing because some people (like you) get strange glitches when above 60.

Is this supposed to help with stuttering? With this on and Vsnyc turned off it seems to run pretty well at about 90FPS.
