So I am trying to play minecraft on my laptop and it used to work fine but then I installed a lot of programs that were taking up my ram. I later uninstalled them and now when I play minecraft online and offline It will lag every few seconds for about 0.5 seconds and sometimes when I hit the mine button it does not mine it right away. I am using windows 8.1 with Intel i5 processor and 4 gigs of DDR3 ram 64 bit system. It says that my computer is using about 48% of my ram when I am playing and that I have about 1250 mb left and I allocated 2 gb of ram to it. I am also thinking about upgrading my laptop to 8 gigs of ram since I can't afford a gaming computer right now. Do you think that 8 gigs will help and if not what should I do?
