My minecraft icon in my taskbar looke like a blue circle with four black squares in a upside down T-shaped position. What happened was I deleted my %appdata% because my minecraft was glitching out, so I decided that I needed to delete it. Now it looks different. The icon used to be a crafting table. (Not the Grass Block launcher icon.) Please help.
This just happened to me when I deleted .minecraft from %appdata%. I figured out where the strange icon is coming from and since this was teh first result in Google I thought it might be helpful for others if I post here.
The 4 black squares over a blue circle is the LWJGL icon. Lightweight Java Game Library (LWJGL) is a library that Minecraft loads. When java doesn't have data on which icon to use, it apparently defaults to this one.
