Connecting from computers without any sort of proxy, I can view servers/versions/etc just fine, and everything works great.
In one building, I have to connect via a local proxy/tunnel using the arguments below:
-DsocksProxyHost=127.0.0.1 -DsocksProxyPort=8120
It works great in 1.6.2, 1.6.4, 13w38c, 13w39b..
Server lists will show versions properly, including 1.7 and 1.7.1.
But, 13w41a and above, it stops working.
The launcher works just fine, however minecraft itself can't connect to any servers, and when I view my proxy log, there aren't even any connections attempted to it.
Server lists all fail.
This leads me to believe that when netty was implimented in 13w41a, that proxy support was forgotten or ignored?
Anyone have any better insight on the issue, or any suggestions?
EDIT:
I didn't even think to check my firewall settings. I assumed if it works on 1.6 it should work on 1.7. It is all just java. However I seem to get explorer.exe Intrusion attacks whenever I open the server list. Detailed message:
Attack type: CMD Tool Access by a Network Aware Application (Sig Id = 1148)
Next step is to try the proxy from home on a machine where I don't have McAfee installed!
If you have not already, when you are in the launcher, press the "Edit Profile" button at the bottom right, check the "JVM args" bar, erase it and put in one of those parameters, alternatively you can try the one you are currently passing to the launcher.

Unlikely.
Hi,
For one, I would try to disable your AntiViruses, firewalls, etc, certainly.
To get to the point, how are you passing those arguments?
Are you passing them directly to the launcher or to the game launch parameters?
The launcher and game accepts the following parameters:
If you have not already, when you are in the launcher, press the "Edit Profile" button at the bottom right, check the "JVM args" bar, erase it and put in one of those parameters, alternatively you can try the one you are currently passing to the launcher.
