Me, my brother and cousin connect to each other when we are together to play on a Lan in the same home. We've always been able to connect and play until I downloaded Bukkit and or Forge which was before we had to do the new launcher. After the new launcher came out I was the only one that couldn't connect to our LAN. I deleted Bukkit and Minecraft and I think deleted all files associated to it then re-downloaded Minecraft but I'm still experiencing the problem. When the guys connect one of their worlds to a LAN I'm the only one that can't see it, no amount a refreshing allows it to show up. I'm able to connect to minecraft servers but no LAN. When I open up one of my worlds to LAN they guys see it but when they try to connect they get a message that says, FAILED TO CONNECT TO SERVER. CONNECTION TIMED OUT: CONNECT. I'm thinking there is something I'm missing when I deleted Bukkit and forge from my computer that's blocking this because when I first installed it I wasn't able to play on Lan's with them any more. Major pain but if anyone else knows what I'm suppose to do so I can get back to playing with them again I'd appreciate it. Playing with them on Lan was one of the fun things I loved about minecraft. I also figured it wasn't my firewall or it wouldn't allow minecraft to connect or allow me to connect to minecraft servers.
***** Editing to add that after I posted this I decided to shut off my firewall completely to see if it works. It worked so I found the problem. Not sure how to delete this message
