I have been searching all over trying to find a fix for this, but every time I try to play a multiplayer game with K9 Web Protection installed it keeps disconnecting me after 10 seconds to 10 minutes. I've gone through and added all the web activity that was logged from launching to closing minecraft and it still didn't work. I went as far as putting K9 into monitoring mode so it shouldn't block any traffic, but it still would disconnect me.
If I uninstall it the game works perfectly fine. Has anyone found an actual fix. Adding amazon.com doesn't fix this!
I would like to ask why you are using K9 WP anyway?
Do please tell me you do not try to use it as Anti-Virus or Personal Firewall software.

However I emailed their support and they told me they are aware of issues with using their software with MC but they have no solution at this time to make it work.

This is because it is a Java issue.
Also you need to add the Server address to the allow/whitelist that you play on. If you have already done this, then likely is an issue with their software.
yeah, my parents have this on my laptop and I get the same problem. Anybody know other good site protection software i could use instead? And my friend has it installed on is mac computer, (i have a toshiba) and he doesn't get the problem. Oh yeah and i found out that they knew about the problem back in May, and they still haven't fixed it.....

Here's the exception list:
.amazon.com/ .minecraft.net/ .mojang.com/ amazon.com/ authserver.mojang.com/ mcoapi.minecraft.net/ minecraft.net/ mojang.com/ s3.amazonaws.com/ session.minecraft.net/ skins.minecraft.net/ snoop.minecraft.net/ status.mojang.com/
I found that these are the only sites that get hit when Minecraft is running, but something is still being blocked.
