Been playing the full version for some time but I got stuck in a corner !! I can no longer move around but simply move within the same space (i.e can turn around but that's it). Unless I can fix this, I can no longer play and if I try and start a new world, I still can't do anything, the keys simply wont work ...
I had the same problem this morning (could turn in any direction but could not walk) and guess what, the batteries in my keyboard were dead, lol. Turning = mouse, walking = keyboard. I suspect that's your problem
I just checked and all the "movement" keys just says "button 1". So as a test I put "W" for forward and it seems to work ... So do I go through and allocate keys for all of those buttons ? My son has been playing mostly and he tends to modify things

Yes, the default buttons for movement are WASD. Sounds like your son wanted to change something and hit the button to change it then clicked the mouse again, setting movement to the mouse button. There may be a button there to reset to default, I'm not sure.

My keyboard is wireless and works fine outside of Minecraft ... I'll check those settings - thx
Yes, the default buttons for movement are WASD. Sounds like your son wanted to change something and hit the button to change it then clicked the mouse again, setting movement to the mouse button. There may be a button there to reset to default, I'm not sure.
