I want to play Minecraft over LAN with a second player, but i have only one account. I cannot login on the other side with the same account because i would get kicked for having the same name. Help please?
Maybe if i log in on one side when online and then go offline so player 1 is poiihy but on the otherside login offline so player 2 is Player.
Would this work?
I believe you can use .BAT files to force launch the game with a certain username as long as you already have the files. It wouldn't connect to Mojang's servers though, so you wouldn't be authenticated and could only play on offline-mode servers as if you played offline.

All i want to do is play minecraft two-players over LAN, not the internet.
If it is possible to make my name Player on one of the computers then that would be GREAT.

Its easier just to buy the game code off mojang as a gift. That's what I did.
But then i need to buy the game AGAIN. I already bought the game.
