for anyone who sees this reply the "Picked up: _JAVA_OPTIONS: 512M" is Fixed by either one of two things going to Computer "right click properties" advanced environmental variables and deleting this variable if it exists or if it doesn't and it's not there entering one that looks something like this with the proper ram allocation _JAVA_OPTIONS
-Xmx4096M -Xms2048M
by clicking new user vaiable.
also it can be a problem with the java control pannel found at control panel "small icons" java.
basically once there click java and view and see if there is a variable there.
basically what this error is is java is auto setting minecraft to half a megabite and this is the fix hope it helped.

ever since I got a new computer, I cant seem to download minecraft. when the download bar reaches the end this massage shows up in the development console:

by the remote host: by the server owner [or the server owner's computer]

Read timed out: Your computer took too long to load

Your computer has networking issues, or it lags a lot

Ok, to start of Mojang i want my money for this account back!!!! also.. the reason why i want my money back is because i keep getting this ­ing "IO:nettytimeout" ­ that es me off.. i've looked up how to fix it but there is apparently no fix's. it happens in survival and multiplayer and i've lost over $150 Aud because of it. people i know say it happens to them alot also which they want there money back for there accounts idk if this is even in the right spot to post this but idgaf im ed off with mojang, and i've just woke up. And before people say "get a new computer" why the ­ would i get a new computer just for one ­ing game..

But im not allowed to buy another comp so i need help.....

When ever I try to play on a server: mc.preyorpray.co.uk : I cannot seem to receive the server recourse pack, and I have server textures on. All other players on the server have the server textures. Any ideas on how to fix it, have uninstalled my Minecraft twice so.

Something to try for you guys. I have been getting exit code 1 errors for awhile but couldn't figure out why. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. However, I eventually figured out why this was the case. I use a program called evolve, which is basically like hamachi, I just like evolve more. Anyways, with evolve open, I got the error, but as soon as I closed this program, the game would launch and run just fine. Just something somebody might try that could fix problems.

I'm about to be in a position of tech support for a Minecraft user. Currently have a Mid-2010 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.6.8. It seems minecraft is based on Java 6 from reading a few posts here. I also read posts suggesting updating graphics drivers for Windows users. Would an upgrade to OS X 10.7, 10.8 or 10.9 be beneficial or worse? JRE 6 is available for the newer OS versions as well as JRE7. Thanks for any performance insights.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or what because I have not been able to recreate it.

I logged in and started my world as normal. Everything was fine. I went to the nether and when I came back everything I built was gone. I was in creative peaceful mode on 1.7.10.

I don't suppose that there is a way to get all of that stuff back? Anyway I just wanted to know if anyone else had seen this problem.

This is what i get when i try to join a server

Instead of logging me off at the launcher it goes back to it when i try to play a world

Also having this problem and it makes multiplayer unplayable they need to fix this ASAP what is the deal?!
