I have another problem, this falls into a server category but, I couldn't find a place to put it there (sorry if this is a bad placement)
Anyway I was on my favorite server in 1.6.4 happy as could be, when I figured out I could get Redstone lamp ons (the technical block, as an item) by breaking a powered redstone lamp with silk touch. I thought that was pretty neat and lol'd, however, when the server updated to 1.7.2 I had a problem. Part of the update notes said something about technical blocks no longer being items (redstone lamp on is a technical block), therefore if I try to log on to my beloved server, I am on for half a second then I get a missing ID crash. I am no longer able to play on this server due to the problem. The only solution would be to ask the server owner to downgrade the server, allow me to get rid of the blocks and re-update the server. The problem with this is, anything build with 1.7.2 blocks would be destroyed. A possible fix to that would be those 1.7 blocks would still be there as long as that area isn't generated however, I am unsure if that is true. I am very sad about this problem and the server forums is completely counter-intuitive (there is no post or reply button ANYWHERE ON THE WHOLE PAGE). So please, if anyone knows of a solution, can provide some insight, or even if anyone else has had a similar problem, I'd like to know.
Apologies for the giant wall of text,
Halp, Fugu
Well, you could ask the server Owner to go into his world file and delete your username.dat file. Unfortunately , it deletes your whole inventory, but there's not much else you could do
HELP ME!
Can someone help me with this problem... I have tried everything and nothing works. I bolded what I think has something to do with the problem.

[16:00:37 INFO]: Ignoring visibility rule and showing launcher due to a game crash
Am I the only one that experiences random crashes when playing? I don't receive any error messages or anything, just minecraft closing down and returning to the launcher.
Nope, you're not alone. I fixed this by going to minecraft launcher > edit profile > and at the bottom I dedicated 4GB of RAM to minecraft instead of 1GB
Yesterday I played minecraft fine on the new launcher and everything. Then overnight my computer downloaded the 1.7.0_51 java update and ever since then Minecraft has given' me this error message. I have uninstalled java and re-installed it, both 32-bit and 64-bit separately and together. I've also uninstalled minecraft and reinstalled it, I've tried deleting the .minecraft folder, restarting my computer several times, etc. I even cleaned my computer for malware. Nothing. I simply have no idea what is wrong with my game. My OS is win 7 and I am running 64-bit.
Starting launcher. FATAL ERROR: net.minecraft.bootstrap.FatalBootstrapError: Unable to start: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException at net.minecraft.bootstrap.Bootstrap.startLauncher(Bootstrap.java:242) at net.minecraft.bootstrap.Bootstrap.execute(Bootstrap.java:124) at net.minecraft.bootstrap.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java:381)
Please fix the error and restart
Edit: apparently the issue was my custom windows style. It must have been blocking something java related.
i need help this happened i think around 1.7 but when i open it shows the update news like normal then when i click play the game comes up then the MOJANG sign appears then it closes itself and opens the update news back up
I cannot start the game.
I'm using ESET anti virus, but even if I disabled all the functionality of it,
Minecraft Launcher says:

I can't find this question either on here or the internet, nor do I know how to describe it properly. In version 1.7.2 when I click on anything with my mouse, I'm getting this annoying mans voice saying things like "dig" when I dig in sand or dirt, or in the menu part ifI click on any button, like options for instance, the same stupid voice says "click". It says something on EVERY mouse click! This is annoying me to the point of uninstalling Minecraft. It doesn't do it in 1.6.4, just 1.7.2. I even deleted it from the version folder in my .minecraft then tried playing again under a different profile, but it WON"T QUIT!!! Please, could someone help me stop this? I'm playing the PC version in windows 7, vanilla flavor of minecraft, no mods. The only change is Chroma Hills resource pack.
P.S. Could this be caused by hitting the super secret button? It started shortly after I clicked on it several times to get the textures/shading back to normal.
EDIT: I found the sound files in the .minecraft/assets/virtual/ folder. the ones in a folder called legacy are the correct ones, but in a folder called legacy_af, this is where I found the annoying male voice sounds. I deleted all the sound files from there, including the folder, yet when I restarted the game, the legacy_af folder was copied back in somehow and all the sounds were still the annoying voice saying "sand, click, dig", etc.

The annoying noises were added today. It's an April fools prank. If it's annoying enough you can turn off the master volume.
Maybe you could take a sound file that has no sounds in it (and maybe the same length as the other files) and replace it with the annoying sound files. Then the game might not realize files are "missing".
I feel a bit dumb, lol! I work nights so I didn't realize it was April Fools day. What I ended up doing is copying in new sound files from a set of proper sound files. They came back when I went in to play again. That's what clued me in that it might be coming from the server. Thanks for the reply! Hopefully they will be back to the real sounds when I get home in the morning.

So when I try to play on the play.galaxiesmc.com server i get the message saying. "Server outdated. pretending to be 1.7.7" I'm not sure what to do. Other people i play with are running 1.7.7 and the server works fine for them.
Anyone who knows how to fix this please reply ASAP.
My Minecraft crashes whenever I break glass, throw potions and xp bottles (whenever the sound of the glass shattering plays)
Thx for reading
When I try to use "-Xms2G -Xmx2G", it gives me an error. It lets me use the minimum (Xms), but gives me an error if I set a maximum (Xms). What the hell.

Well, you could ask the server Owner to go into his world file and delete your username.dat file. Unfortunately , it deletes your whole inventory, but there's not much else you could do
To fix your problem you go to minecraft.net, buy the game, and quit using a cracked minecraft launcher
Nope, you're not alone. I fixed this by going to minecraft launcher > edit profile > and at the bottom I dedicated 4GB of RAM to minecraft instead of 1GB
Starting launcher.

Edit: apparently the issue was my custom windows style. It must have been blocking something java related.
I'm using ESET anti virus, but even if I disabled all the functionality of it,

Help please,
Akihiro

So I go to this
But then this
So... the official thing can't help. What do I do?
now it attacks! failed to login:authentication servers are currently down for maintance.it changed my authentication IP. its dont a minecrafrt global error cuz other people are still on the server.i thinked that if i restart minecraft its will return to normal.than,a play offline button! and then i saw mojang and minecraft.net sites are down to me! i installed avast now and i still have this problem.and right now when im writing this, avast found a virus! its my mobogenie app

Thx for reading
Launch4j
This application requires a Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0
and when I click ok, it takes me to java and asks me to install java version 7 update 55, which I already have.
I don't have a solution for this but I definitely need one.
Somebody please reply.
