Issue: While working on replacing white wool with smooth quartz on a large (Y=151), incomplete (only top third is done, working my way down), hollow pyramid i get lag when I replace a single wool block near the top. Full second of frozen screen. Destroying the wool does nothing, but filling the hole generates the lag. No lag adding blocks to edge of completed section nor on the ground. F3 says 120fps normally, but while frozen it says 30 to 0fps (but totally frozen).
NVIDIA OpenGL Driver Error: I see it a few times on this world. Sometimes right after lag, sometimes when just sitting there idle.

I see it twice in a row, then the game crashes and I see the launcher.
My Thinking: I believe it is shader/shadow related. As I plug the hole a large area underneath the top section loses its light source. Adding or removing blocks at the edge does nothing, as it really does not affect the lighting much. Nor does adding or removing blocks on or near the ground. That and there have always been funky shadows on the ground underneath the completed section.
