So I haven't played minecraft in a while. I decided to hop on with mates recently, But when I join my mates server I get the error: 'java.io.IOException: Bad compressed data format'

Every time I join his server I get kicked with this error. I'v tried re-installing java and everything please help!\
If this only happens on your friend's server, then your player profile may be corrupted. Ask him to delete your player profile from the server files and try again.
