I want to get decent screenshots on my laptop, but the pesky HUD keeps getting in the way. I can hold fn to use F2, F3, etc., but fn+F1 has no visible effect. That is, until I press escape right afterwards. Instead of pausing, a small black window appears called "System Information", telling me about my computer. I haven't had this problem on any other computer I've tried. Any idea what's causing this? Better yet, any idea on how to get rid of it? Or hide the HUD some other way? A HUD-hide mod, perhaps?
EDIT: Additional information. Getting the "System Information" window to appear seems to toggle mouse smoothing, and fn+F8 has no effect.

Hi,
If you're on a laptop, fn+F1 should work just fine.
Otherwise try Shift+F1.
Shift+F1 doesn't work either.
