Basically what the title says, when I have a tamed donkey or mule I can put a saddle on, but there is no slot in the interface for chests. I can put saddles and armor on horses no problem. But the pack animals are broken. I've tried it in the snapshots, I've tried in in versions 1.6 - 1.6.2 nothing is working for me. The chest slot simply isn't there. I can still right click the chest onto the mule/donkey, and use the inventory. But the chest doesn't show up in the inventory screen the way armor does on horses. This means I can't remove the chest from the donkey once I put it on. Not a big deal, but I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing this or knows of a cause/solution.

You have to place the chest in the back of the donkey. If your that desperate for wood make a tree farm. currently the only way of removeing the chest is by killing the donkey.
