So not long ago, I ran into an issue where I fell asleep while my MineCraft was open and my computer went into sleep mode. When I woke up, my chickens were no longer laying eggs. I don't have an automated egg delivery system, it is just a large closed area with chickens. I know the rate at which chickens lay eggs. I was getting stacks at a time constantly. Luckily, I had made a backup file of that save the day before (albeit still lost a lot of progress) and took the loss of some of my new structures and supplies in order to regain my food supply.
Now, I was on my way back to my HQ from a far mine on the railway I built and I guess my crosshairs caught an enderman without me knowing and once my cart stopped it started attacking me. I panicked and I accidentally hit the windows key sending me to the start menu (windows 8). In the panic, I accidentally opened the client again (with one already open and running) instead of reopening the window I had minimized. Once everything was taken care of, I went to check on my chickens, since it seems like a similar scenario to the first incident, and yes... my chickens AGAIN are no longer laying eggs. Not one. The ones that were already there stayed, but after those I'm not going to see anymore.
I packed a lot of info into this hoping that someone could figure what is going on because I don't have a recent save backed up and this is getting EXTREMELY annoying. I don't really feel like starting a cattle farm just because this game can't hold itself together.
