Last week when I loaded up the 1.1.0 launcher, it was working fine. Today, though, when I clicked the launcher icon, it loaded up minecraft launcher 1.2.2 and was set to play snapshot 13w36b. I tried removing the 13w36b version from the /c:/users/(your name here)/appdata/roaming/.minecraft/versions folder, but it forced me to download 13w36b. I have not put the snapshot on my computer as far as I know. I'm using 1.6.2 and playing on a windows 7 computer. PLEASE HELP (again)!
Hello. Go into the launcher but before you go press play, click 'Edit Profile' under the news and drop box. Go under the group of 'Version selection' and choose your recommended version, in this case, 1.6.2.

Instead of setting it to use 1.6.2, set it to "Use Latest Version", and uncheck all the boxes in "version selection".
