Whenever I try to play Minecraft, nothing shows up. This has been happening for about 2-3 weeks. Whenever I click the desktop icon or the icon that is pinned to my task-bar, nothing happens. It does not give me an error message or anything. The launcher does not show up, it just shows that it is loading for a moment, then never opens. I have looked everywhere for an answer but to no avail.
Remove all mentions of Java from the "uninstall a program" option in the control panel. Reboot the computer, then grab Java 8, http://jdk8.java.net/download.html
