Launcher wont launch

I keep trying to launch Minecraft, and I keep getting this error that says:

"The Registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the runtime is corrupted. The system can not find the file specified."

If anyone has any idea about what is going on here, Please let me know.

Remove all mentions of Java from the machine via "uninstall a program" in the control panel. Reboot the system, then grab the latest here,
