Just wondering if anyone can help. I downloaded Forge for my children so we could download mods. But now all of the worlds that they have built plus their multiplayer servers are gone, like it has reset back to the beginning, can anyone tell me why this has happened and can I get their built worlds back? thanks
My only idea is that you try to see if the worlds and server.dat file is in the Trash/Recycle Bin. The only other option then is downloading the worlds you have backed up with the Curse Client. If not, there´s nothing we can really do...

Chances are your worlds are still there. For one reason or another, your console software has decided to create a new world file. It may be as simple as going to your saves folder and deleting the new world file and renaming the old appropriately. There are a number of variables at play here so remember to backup EVERYTHING before you fiddle. It may take a long time, but your kids will think you're superman for recovering their worlds and you can use that to make them behave later on.
thanks heaps for the replies, I went to the save file and you are right there was a new world there, but I couldn't find the old stuff. I guess it is gone........lesson learnt.

NEVER pass up such an opportunity.
