Hi,
I doubt you installed Java 8.
You need to reinstall Java.
First, go to the Programs and Features in Control Panel (Add and Remove Programs on XP). Uninstall everything that says Java in the name. Then, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp re-install Java.

Hi,
The simple answer is; you're doing it wrong.
Please uninstall ALL versions of Java.
If you uninstall Java and still get that message, that will mean that Java is still installed on your system.
If the game does not launch at all, and does nothing, then good, it should be uninstalled.
