My 10 year old brother really wants to install some mods but he couldn't figure out how. I tried to help him (I don't play Minecraft so I'm not 100% sure if I'm doing this right) but when I went to find the minecraft.jar file, there isn't a bin folder. I went to C:\Users\MyUserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft but it's nowhere to be found. From what I can tell, the jar file is definitely a file that you need to have, but his game runs fine.
He had the bin folder before but no minecraft.jar, so we reinstalled Minecraft and now there's no bin folder at all, but again, the game runs fine.

Any idea where this might be or how to get it?
