alright well here is my question can anyone tell me how to fix the massive amount of lag i get whenever i cross into a snow biome or near a large city any amount of lava above five blocks? i'm not sure what causes it but i run close to 40 fps normally but when i enter anywhere snowy or a village with more than 10 houses or anywhere that has a 2 deep pool of lava. my fps drops to around 5-10 fps. yes i do have optifine but nomattter what settings i use i can't fix the issue with those three places so i have to avoid them which takes away a large chunk of the game for me such as snow golems and dark trees and other items common in snow biomes or citys so can someone please help me with this
I know I might sound insane, but I used optifine a few months ago, and lagged like a snail. When I got the new jar, my only mod (optifine) was gone, and the lag stopped. I recommend uninstalling optifine and trying again.

i've actually tryed without optifine but it gets so much worse mc becomes practically unplayable at that point with optifine it runs fine it's just the 3 instances that i have issues with
If you listened to him he said he had Optifine. I myself find Optifine cause lag, remove it. By the sound of it, your PC is letting you down I had a £300 PC and lagged like mad whenever I was in the same situation as you. Now I can play on Max settings anywhere with around 90-100 FPS
sadly i'm in the middle of moving so i can't afford a better computer so any advice on how to fix the current one so it runs faster would be very helpful
