Hi, today i was playing minecraft on my vanilla (unmodified) profile when my windows 8 laptop said windows has run into a problem and my laptop needed to restart. I didn't think anything of this until i tried to play minecraft after my laptop restarted. When i tried to open minecraft nothing would happen. Once I got tired of this I rebooted my laptop to see if that would fix it, sure enough it didn't. I tried troubleshooting the problem and still nothing happened. I ran a deep scan on my laptop through my internet security program and no risks were detected. After that 2 hour time filler was done i decided i would post my problem on the forums. Weirdly, the same exact thing happened to me on my Windows 7 Computer. if anyone could help that would be awesome, or if you could simply tell me a different/better place to report the problem that would be nice.
I tried deep scanning my laptop again and nothing happened. I also tried running hitman pro. It said there were several(147) threats but it wouldn't delete them. I'm trying to work out the bugs with hitman pro and hopefully it will work.
Please provide the system dump file for the windows crash.
Those can be found in
%systemroot%\Minidump
Simply search that at Start, press Enter.
That may open a UAC prompt, press continue.
There will be a list of (.dmp) files, copy the most recent one that the date & time equals when you got the blue screen, and upload it somewhere, like here and give us the link to it.
