Hello everyone. I have the new launcher and I've been trying to play and get into Minecraft again. I redownloaded it from the minecraft.net website, however when I try to launch it at non-administrator AND as administrator, this happens:

I have tried to delete my .minecraft folder, but when I do that, the launcher simply doesn't do anything. I get the loading circle as my cursor, but nothing else.

Does this happen before or after you hit "play"? And did you create the correct profile?

There isn't any windows or buttons that allow me to interact with the program. I double-click the icon and a screen with only that pops up.

After spending about an hour messing around with Java and it's installer (for some odd reason it refused to start the installation process for a good 30 minutes), I was able to get it working. Thank you very much for your help!
