So, finding out that the new MC launcher, 1.2.1 actually allows you to go back to the wonderful times of Minecraft, I decided to go all the way back to my roots: A1.0.11
However, there is a slight problem, the game refuses to give any sort of sound, no music, no hitting of blocks, no nothing.
I've tried a few versions above that, and the same problem seems to persist, until I use a version which uses the new sounds/latest version.
And this brings me to my knees, knowing that there's no sound at all for my beloved nostalgia.
Oh, and yes, drivers are all up to date.
I've got no logs, as I do not know how to get them.
Audio doesn't work as older versions of Minecraft are not designed to be compatible with LWJGL 2.9.0.
But, why even bother giving us the option to play the older versions? ._.
No use playing Alpha when creepers will just continue to blow you and your creations up into dust.

A warning was displayed when enabling the older versions, no? You can get it to work, theoretically, by replacing the LWJGL files with version 2.4.2.

Refer to this post on some instructions on how to do that,
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1863776-minecraft-16-pre-releasenew-launcher-no-sound-at-all/page__st__20#entry23276116
It did say that not all the bugs etc. were not worked out, as of my understanding to that includes:
Glitches
Hangs
Errors
And to all of that, I were put to believe that those bugs would be a native in the earlier releases, and not a problem with the sounds, per say.
