Ok, so I've been having lag issues on my single player minecraft and have it pinpointed to several select chunks that make up the spawn chunks. At first I thought it was being caused by having soooooo many things always loaded since the spawn chunks are always loaded, but it's only happening in certain chunks not randomly. I'll be going along with no issues, all settings maxed out not even 25% of allocated memory used and FPS running constantly at around 100+. As soon as I enter one of the problem chunks my FPS drops to 1-4 but used memory doesn't spike. I thought it was just a plain corrupt chunk so I did some research, downloaded mcedit, deleted the chunks and let minecraft rebuild them and it didn't fix the issue. The same chunks are still causing lag spikes when I enter them. The odd thing is everyone I found said that if you save and quit in a corrupt chunk the game should either take an extremely long time to load back in or just hang on the loading screen all together, but that doesn't happen for me. If anyone can figure this issue out and help me fix it I would greatly appreciate it. If need be I'll even give you a copy of my saved world.

This is nothing sirieus, your game has just a little problem loading sertain things.
This is probely a stronghold or mineshaft maybe a spanwer
Anything else i cant make of it

Is there any way I can fix it? I heard that lots of flowing water or lots of flowing lava can cause lag spikes that don't register resource spikes.

maybe if you set all your video settings down to shot distance decreased particels and so on
it will fix it a little bit
if not, have you installed anything on your mc?
or is it just a normal blank minecraft folder with only 1.6.2 in it?
also how many world do you got?

I have several versions installed, both modded and unmodded, and I'm having this issue on all of them. I don't understand why the number of worlds would make a difference, I have 3 and the issue is only happening on the one.

I am also having problems with my singleplayer world. The game runs fine. But as soon as I go to my spider farm which I'm using to farm string, I get block and mob lag. It always happens here and only here.
