I have had Minecraft for about almost 2 years, which really isn't that important. Recently, I've been playing this hunger games server called mcsg, is pretty popular. It's the only server that makes me do, which I think is caused by some many blocks and people in an area. It commonly happens when I'm in a skype call, it doesn't happen all the time, but when it happens, it's annoying. Could it be caused by my cpu? I don't really want to buy a new cpu JUST for that reason, I am upgrading hopefully around later this year. But I don't really want to do it now. When I'm In the lobby and game, should I turn down my render distance? Change graphics to fancy? Or should I just add a new Part.

Doubtful it the CPU. Make sure all drivers are up to date. Then if that doesn't work try changing graphics settings. If that's still not the problem I'd say the PSU may not be enough power for that system under load.
