I'm currently on a Mac and running Mountain Lion. I just switched over from a PC and want to drop my save files onto my new computer. I can find the Minecraft folder, but all that's in there are two folders- "assets" and "versions". I've switched save files over before and know how to do it, but I have no idea where the save folder is anymore. I figured it might have something to do with the Minecraft update, but I am absolutely NOT technologically inclined and don't know what to do next.
So you want to find the saves folder o a mac for Minecraft? Ok. Firstly go to Finder and click on the House icon on the side with your name on it (or your computers name). Now once your in there go to Library and then Application support. From there you should find a folder called minecraft. Then go into that and their will be yet another folder called saves. Simply dump the save files in there and you will be good to go.
Hope that helped

The saves are located in your Minecraft folder, in the "saves" directory.
If they are not there, you may have moved them.
Only you know where you moved them if that is the case, try searching for the "saves" folder in spotlight.
Hope that helped
