I'll start from the begining. I was playing minecraft and my laptop died. I plugged it in and started minecraft. When minecraft started it said "Play Offline" on the big button instead of "Play". I quit minecraft and then started it up again. The same thing happened. Then I signed out and tried to sign back in. I used my correct email and password a million times and I still can't login. I have perfect internet connection and I don't understand why my antivirus software would mess up minecraft now if it hasn't before. Help but don't reply if the same thing has happened to you and you don't know how to fix it. I also checked mojang to make sure the servers are good and they are.

hmm... Disable the firewall then try... or you could try restarting your internet connection?

I restarted my internet connection but that didn't help and i'm not going to disable my firewall. Any other suggestions?

I still can't sign in. Someone please help!

Don't disable your firewall, I can't tell you how stupid that suggestion was. Instead, try allowing Minecraft or Java through the firewall, if it isn't already allowed.

How would I go about doing that?

Control Panel>System and Security>Windows Firewall>Allow a program for feature through Windows Firewall, find either Java or Minecraft, and check both boxes on the right of it.

Java and minecraft both don't show as options.
