So I was normally playing Minecraft and I decided to disconnect for about 10 minutes or so. Then, when I tried to connect to the server I was previously on, it suddenly takes an incredible amount of time to load, I tried to click cancel after about 5 minutes and Minecraft stopped responding. This now happened on every single server I tried to log into. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. I was on the server an hour ago and when I came back from a break, this happened.

This is where it looks like things went wrong for me:

I don't know what it means, but hopefully it's a log in issue that isn't at our end.

Im sick of this. I was trying to make a nice awesome castle (2 hours ago I logged off). I've restarted my pc. Reinstalled minecraft. And re-opening the launcher. I hope its fixed soon. Don't want to be griefed.

It seems to be a problem with mojangs server just sit tight

Got same exact error message, and I doubt it has something to do with us, since this is happening to everybody

I think I figured out what is happening. The session servers for Mojang are currently down so we will have to try maybe in a couple of hours. Check out this link to see what's up: Minecraft Services Status · Is Minecraft Down?

Same here. Could log in a few minutes ago but not now. Authentication server must be shaky tonight.

so its not me im was over here putting together a spawn for my faction server im making log off to play another server and now i cant join squat

Yup, same here too, totally reinstalled, restarted twice.

yes same here. I thought my java had a corrupted file or something, but then i found out everyone's having this problem. Its just a problem with Mojang. They are fixing it.

All Minecraft server are down at the moment just wait a bit. You guys are not the only ones having problems. I'm sure they'll all be back online in no time.

the reason i noticed was because populated server that usually have thousands on right now only had a few hundred

Ya I just had the same problem hope it gets fixed soon!

My friends and I cant even log into my own server that I host myself, I kept hearing that other people have issues logging into their own servers and other people's servers

I hope this gets fixed!

I think it's back. It just worked for me.
