So about a month ago this happened to me. I've tried everything that I could find online but it wouldn't work. I also noticed that a game called rush team wasn't working either &; for the same reason. bad video card drivers. My drivers say they're up to date. I'm confused on what to do. please help me. ;c
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Im currently on a windows vista home premium.Dell Inspirion 519.
Im new to this and all of this is confusing.
If you are haveing video cards driver errors you probably want to include the video card. Try geting the video cards drivers from their website and not from windows.
hmmm This is an old system.... i think aqn upgrade should suffice. There may be a way around it. Rename the program (Minecraft) from Minecraft.exe -----> Minecraft.Jar That should help. IF renaming fails ( meaning it stays an EXE file) use an ftp such as filezilla (Sounds crazy but works) then rename it.
Hope it works out for you. If not your system is simply put "too old".

Right click on your desktop, click properties, click the "settings" tab, click "Advanced", Click the troubleshoot tab, Drag the slider to the 3rd bar, hit apply and ok, run Minecraft. When you are done playing Minecraft move the slider back to it's original postition or other 3D applications might not work. This always fixed that problem for me when I had XP.
