Crazy FPS flux?

Hello all!

I run on a Lenovo Thinkcenter M5, using Debian. When ever I log on to a server or minecraft in general, I get GREAT FPS, but 5-10 minutes later, Minecraft becomes a powerpoint at around 1-3 fps. Please help

Had the same problem, try tweaking to settings a bit. Good luck!

I've been messing with my settings all week! I even have tried using Opti-fine to boost my FPS, but that does nothing! At all!
