I had the same problem and all I did was re install my graphics drivers. Just find who made them and then re install from the official website.

I did everything and now it says:
Error: Could not create Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

And I have the newest Java.

Are you having trouble opening the launcher, or the game itself?
