Installs fine, loads up fine, but if cannot open launcher.jar after install.

So, I install the game, loads up just fine. If I try to open launcher.jar again, however, it does absolutely nothing. So, to play, I have to install every time I want to load the game. This makes installing forge/mods impossible.

No idea what to do.

Not sure what the problem is are you trying to use the launcher.jar in the .minecraft folder ?
