I was having a problem signing in to minecraft so I deleted my .minecraft folder. I tried starting up minecraft again and it wouldn't start. It gave me an error message so I removed minecraft from my computer and downloaded minecraft just in case it was out of date or something. I ran that launcher and I got the same message.
This is what the error said:

Just to make sure you know I do have a .minecraft folder now but it's empty.
Even if you don't know how to fix it, some suggestions would help.

If you see this, I can start minecraft fine now but I can't join any servers. Should I just make a new topic?

No, the servers at the time you were playing we currently down.

They have been restored as of current, however.

Do you have Java allowed through your firewall? If you don't that's what's blocking you from connecting.

It doesn't show java as an option when I'm in the firewall settings menu. Is there a special way to do that? My computer is running windows 7 if you were wondering.
