Im fairly new to minecraft. My friend asked me to start my own server, so i did and we both play on it fine.
Last night we had a power surge/flux due to a storm and now im geting error messages of skellies and other mobs in wrong places. I researched and saw that i needed to run repair program, like chunkster or mcedit. Problem is, with the chunkster tutorials, they all expect me to have used bukkit or craftbukkit to make my server. I used no other program. i followed a turtorial on making my own server and it had nothing to do with bukkit or another program. MCedit looks so complicated it actually scares me to download and try to use. is there a way to run chunkster without having used bukkit?
As i was reading last night on this issue, i saw a post that said that i can go to world properties and find previous versions of world and just use that world. Well i have no idea how to make the "previous world" my new world.
I realize this is way over my head probably but im hoping someone can or is willing to help a noob out with her noob mistake.
Bukkit is very simple creating a bukkit server is very simple. Go to the website and try it. If you cant get it to work try mcedit, it looks complicated but it is simple. Well if nothing else works you can always spawn some of the items you lost if you have to create a world.
